Once we arrange a time to meet, you will be invited to an initial session where you get to find out a little bit about me and the approach I work in. It’s also a chance for me to find out a little bit about you.

I take notes during the initial session for formalities and to also gain a better understanding of the nature of your issues/problems and what you hope to gain from counselling.

I consider each person as unique and individual and therefore, from a personal choice I work as an integrative counsellor.

Working within this approach allows me to combine and bring together different elements of therapies and techniques and those will vary depending on your individual needs.

I’m specialised in using mindfulness and technique based approaches for anxiety, panic disorder, depression and stress related issues.

I have experience working in short-term and long term client work and the pace you want to work within is entirely up to you.  It’s very important to me that you feel safe and comfortable during the counselling sessions and therefore I will never ‘push you’ to reveal anything you don’t feel comfortable talking about.

I provide the highest level of confidentiality possible, according to the law and the Code of Ethics of BACP.

All professional counsellors are required by BACP to have regular supervision to help ensure safe practice.
